Centre-back: Victor Lindelof – An excellent young defender, Lindelof is capable as both stopper and ball-player and will upgrade the already miserly backline Mourinho has formed. Right-wing: Henrikh Mkhitaryan – After the trials and tribulations of his first campaign in England, the ex-Borussia Dortmund star should be fully up to speed with the rigours of Premier League football. Centre-back Eric Bailly – Ex-Villarreal man Bailly showed plenty of potential in his debut Premier League campaign, which was interrupted by injury. If he can progress, the Red Devils are going to have a formidable defence once more. Right-back: Antonio Valencia – The Ecuadorians conversion from winger to full-back has been excellent and is now one of the best in the Premier League at the position. Centre forward: Alvaro Morata (Real Madrid) – Transfer rumours continue surrounding the Spain striker, although his move is still expected to go through. With Cristiano Ronaldo now expected to stay with Real, Morata will exit the Bernabeu, surely. Central midfield: Nemanja Matic (Chelsea) – After a season alongside the force of nature that is NGolo Kante, Matic will now line up with Herrera, who offers a similar role.
