first_imgSt. Nicholas 7th Grade Volleyball Team Picks up 2 Wins This Week/8th Grade Picks up 1 Win, but also loses 1.The 7th grade St. Nicholas team defeated South Dearborn on Tuesday, Sept. 16 in 2 sets with scores of 25-5 and 25-3. They also defeated Brookville Middle School in 2 sets with scores of 25-11 and 25-22. Their record improves to 11-0.The 8th grade team defeated South Dearborn in 2 sets with scores of 25-15 and 25-7. They lost to Brookville Middle School on Thursday in 3 sets with scores of 23-25, 25-7, and 12-15. The girls started out slow, but then began playing their game. They just made a few mistakes, and they weren’t quite able to pull out the win. Even when they were down, they still stayed positive and worked to play the way they’ve been taught-bump, set, spike.St. Nicholas is back in action on Monday against Sunman-Dearborn with the game being played at Milan Middle School at 5:30.Courtesy of STN Coach Debbie Gregg.last_img read more

St. Louis Track Awards

first_imgSt. Louis held its Track and Field Awards Ceremony Monday night.Award winners for the girls were Caroline Meer – Cardinal Award and Grace Mack  – MVP.  Adam Moster won the Cardinal Award while Joshua Myers was the MVP for the boys.Several school records were set this year as follows:  Molly Wachsmann – shot put, Joshua Myers 1600m, Joshua Myers 800m and the team of Max Giesting, Adam Moster, Zachary Harmeyer and Joshua Myers 800m Sprint Medley Relay.Courtesy of Cardinals Coach John Harmeyer.last_img

Ross extends deal with Leinster

first_imgIt’s being reported that Mike Ross has signed an extension to his deal with Leinster and Ireland.According to the Irish Times the 34 year old Prop has agreed a one year extension.The Cork man has won 44 Ireland caps. There’s good news for Leinster ahead of Saturdays Champions cup with Harlequins with the news that back row Chris Robshaw and out half Nick Evans are both out with injury.last_img
